CEO of Upward Hartford, Shana Schlossberg will discuss her experience as a female CEO with her previous startups, and why she decided to bring her current brainchild to Hartford!
Shana Schlossberg, a serial entrepreneur who is passionate about Hartford’s potential, has 16 years of experience directing a broad range of technology initiatives in the Internet, Media, Telecom, and Emergency Services industries. She founded EZBZ in 2011, with the goal of creating an efficient and fair platform which uses innovative technology to connect consumers and local businesses in real time. Shana frequently mentors startups and entrepreneurs, guiding them through the process and helping them build the best business possible. In 2015, Shana as honored in the White House by the Sustainable Business COuncil for her work in sustainable enterprises and for supporting local businesses.
Cynthia Dokas Whipple received a BA from Trinity College in 1988 and her JD from New York Law School in 1991. Currently, she is the Director of Graduate Support and Admissions at Covenant Prep School in Hartford, as well as a private educational consultant at SuccessPrep Partners. Cynthia’s strong writing background as both an attorney and creative writer has helped her in his various pursuits as a litigator, a children’s book author, and an educational consultant. Cynthia lives in Avon, CT with her husband and three children.
