Upward Hartford believes that boot-strapping, work-from-home startups will only succeed in raising money if they are part of the right ecosystem and are working on a program that is solely focused on helping them raise money.
Upward Hartford has designed a program for ten promising startups that focuses on two primary paths for successful money-raising, one being marketing and strategy and the other meeting and pitching investors.
The program will offer ten select companies deferred payment on space and programming for five months. Each company will be eligible to receive two (and in some cases three) co-working seats at Upward Hartford for the duration of the program. These companies will enjoy 24/7 access to the space equal to any other member. Each company will also meet weekly with Eric Knight and Shana Schlossberg as well as other assigned experts and mentors.
Each space taken at Upward Hartford will be valued at $350 per month. The programming will be valued at $1000 per month.
At the end of the program or prior, companies who have successfully raised money will be required to pay back the money owed to Upward Hartford either in cash or as a convertible note.
